I shamelessly went across to Moore Street Cafe after my very first workout in years as I was famished lol what did I order? A salad? No.. I got the Western bacon cheeseburger with fries for takeout of course and I have no regrets. It was prepared perfectly! Service was friendly and fast. I was so happy to be in a food coma afterwards. I will return for breakfast but I might have found my new favorite burger spot! Highly recommended!
Breakfast Philly on Round 2! It was great! Just as good as the first time, like I said I would be coming back!
Came at 8:15 on a Sunday. Still tables available but probably at 90% full by 9am. Service was fast, friendly, and food delicious. Three sections to the restaurant with the furthest back area being a newer addition.
I recently visited this spot with a friend from out of town, and it came highly recommended by several EMTs I know and work with. You might wonder why a diner would be the top choice from such a high-stakes group, and the answer is their exceptional pitcher mimosas. From the moment you step inside, the vintage charm of the diner is evident. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can choose depending on the vibe you're in the mood for. We came in for lunch and both decided on The Moore Street sandwich, which features a grilled chicken breast seasoned with Montreal seasoning, topped with provolone cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Each sandwich comes with a side, and I went with coleslaw while my friend opted for fries. We also tried their Moore Mosas--one with pineapple and the other with Fanta orange. Although I'm not usually a big fan of sandwiches, I was thoroughly impressed by this one. The chicken was perfectly moist, and none of the toppings overwhelmed the flavor of the dish. The portion sizes were generous, and the food arrived quickly, which made for a truly enjoyable lunch. Paired with the pitchers of mimosas, it felt like the perfect setting for a relaxed and fun meal. I can definitely see myself returning with friends, especially if we're looking for a casual brunch spot with great food and drinks. Highly recommend this place for anyone in the area looking to enjoy a delicious meal and a fun atmosphere!
If you're looking for good diner food, Moore Street is it. Consistently good, large plates, greasy breakfast. Service is typically good & fast even when it's busy. And if you want bang for your buck, try a moore-mosa!
While staying the Scott's Addition area for the night I came here the next morning for breakfast. It was a weekday morning and that place was quite busy! I sat at the counter, overlooking their open kitchen. Service was friendly and with a smile. Menu is interesting and has all the southern favs, including homemade corned beef hash, which I had to try. It was done in the "Hormel" style, but was so much better! I also tried their sausage gravy to go over the biscuit that came with my breakfast plate. The sausage gravy was thick and stiff, almost like it had been sitting or re-heated. The flavor was pretty good though. The biscuit was microwaved to be heated, not very appealing. Overall, I still really enjoyed the meal and would return.
Solid breakfast spot with nice service in an old school feel building with good food! Stopped by on a Saturday morning and had a 20 minute wait for a party of 2. Kind gentleman took our info to get us on the wait list and he was the same one who sat us. Waitress was sweet and gave us time to review the menu. Food: Great grilled cheese and tater tots! My friend enjoyed her chicken fried steak meal! Would return!
This is a notable breakfast restaurant nestled away in Scott's Addition. If you go on Saturday and Sunday, be prepared to wait but I promise the wait will be worth it! The nostalgic decorations throughout the restaurant are fun to look at while eating. I usually start with a mimosa pitcher and make sure I get the pancakes at every visit. This time I got an omelette which may become my normal order now! No matter what you like for breakfast or lunch, they will definitely have something on the menu for you!
Boozy Sunday brunch at Moore Street Cafe. Ordered the Barnyard biscuit and it was great. The fried chicken was crispy and moist and the gravy delicious. We ordered a couple of Moore-mosas and ended with the breakfast shot. There was a waiting list when we arrived, but we could order from their patio bar and wait in their AC waiting area. Service was super friendly and attentive. There's a reason it's a Richmond staple!
Stopped by here on a trip home to Atlanta. As far as breakfast goes, it's up there with best home style breakfast Restaraunt. I would compare it to a Waffle House as far as taste. I got the big breakfast that comes with pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and grits. I like a variety. Service was good. The servers are three young ladies that are very nice. Would come back for sure.
